Please say a little prayer for my family.

As many of you know, my parents now live in Lake Charles, La. They were evacuated last night and it took them 15 hours to get to Birmingham, a trip that usually takes them 9 hours. Their house was hit by Hurricane Rita three years ago, and they are in the path of Gustav. Please say a little prayer that their house is not badly damaged again. Thanks.

Dear Mr. Saban...

Here at the Watson house, we are excited about the upcoming season, but let's face it, last year wasn't good enough. 7-6 doesn't cut in Tuscaloosa, or in Maine for that matter.

So today, please make sure you have your act together. I'll be the little girl way up here yelling Roll Tide. Ace will be saying it too.

Thanks Coach!
AK and Ace

Very Sad.

Brent just told me that Dave Matthews Sax player and founding member Leroi Moore passed away. We were lucky enough to see him play in what was one of his last concerts back in June. You can read more about him at www.dmband.com.

Balloon Festival 2008

Panda Bear

This Panda Bear was really fun to watch go up and the babes loved it. We were a little disappointed in the balloons today, but Friday night there were a ton. Just to let you know, it cost around $225.00 per person to go up in a hot air balloon.

Brent Passes Up A Hook Up Opportunity

Bless her heart. This poor lady was dressed up in some sort of Sponge Bob, pregnant, baby hanging from the stomach (notice the pink feet), character headed to the festival. She tried talking to Brent several times and it didn't matter that I was standing beside him with his children. I couldn't pass up the photo opt. Daddy still got game.

The 'Rents

This is Brent and I at the Balloon Festival. We rarely have pics made of us for obvious reasons and I thought Brent was going to lose his shiot when I asked him if I could take a quick pic of us. The only complaining I got was that I was not centering us in the picture. Look like we are having a blast right?

Make Your Blog Into A Book

I have been wanting to put our blog into a hard cover book, and I have found a website that will do just that. I will be putting our blog post from 2007-2008 into a book at the end of this year, and plan on doing that every year thereafter. Love it! Click on BLURB under Family, Friends, and Fun for pricing. Hope this helps those looking for ideas. If anyone has a cheaper place or a better idea, please let me know.

You ain't Never Had My Cornbread...

Sweet little AK. Brent and I are are huge DMB fans and right now its pretty much all we listen to. Well, Ansley's favorite song is "Cornbread", and she bust a move everytime the guitar starts strumming. A very inappropriate song for a two year old, but she can only sing three lines of it and it is so cute. I am going to try to get Brent to catch it on film. Check out the words online. The red pimp hat attire goes perfectly with the song.

I promise Little Man will get a post soon. Right now, he is a busy kid, drinking about a half a gallon of milk a day and destroying anything he touches. More pics of him soon.

AK's First Job Chart

For the most part, Ansley is very well behaved and uses her manners. However, one of my biggest pet peeves is a whiney child. Well, she has been doing that a lot lately and Brent and I have come up with a sticker chart to try to curb the whining before we both lay the girl out (just kidding). She has been doing really well today and we hope this gets the job done.

Painting with the Babes..

Today I let Ace paint for the first time and he loved it. Unlike AK, Ace loved having paint on his hands and he loved squeezing the paint between his fingers. He did really well and AK enjoyed painting her letters.

Don't Ask

Alcohol was not involved, if you can believe it. Guns N Roses' "Welcome to the Jungle" was, however.

Landry Family Cookout

Our sister in law, Jo's family is in town this week from Canada. Beth and I decided to have a cookout for them and play games and catch up. My kids played in the mud and enjoyed the blow up castle. It was a very fun night and its great to get to visit with them.
